There must always be at least three meters between caravans, tents, and similar accommodations. This is important for fire safety and must always be followed.

The individual pitch description will indicate where it is possible to set up a caravan or similar.

For the sake of nature and the appearance of the site, it is not allowed to set up enclosures, terraces, storage boxes, permanent drying racks, or similar. A storage module is permitted, provided it is connected to the caravan or tent and the space allows it. If in doubt, feel free to ask! :D

Windbreaks and dog enclosures should be minimized and must be temporary, meaning they are only set up during your stay at the camp.

There should be quiet at the camp from 11:00 PM.

  • Brandt Brød, Søtorvet
  • SuperBrugsen, Søtorvet
  • Le Gâteau, Torvet
  • Føtex, Torvet

With the camp’s close proximity to the city, it doesn’t make sense for us to sell expensive dairy products that can be bought fresher and cheaper at local grocery stores nearby. Instead, we have a couple of bikes available for you to borrow for your shopping trips, just a short ride from the camp.

It’s also a lovely way to experience the town on two wheels! :D

Remstrup Stream, which is part of the Gudenå River – also known locally as the Silkeborg Lakes – can be seen from one corner of the camp. From here, it's less than 100 meters to the water's edge, and the lake is always open for a dip.

About 1.5 kilometers southwest, you'll also find Almindsø, with the Østre and Vestre Søbad swimming facilities. Almindsø is one of Denmark’s cleanest lakes, and the facilities at the lake baths are new and family-friendly.

It is possible to rent bed linen and towels at the camp. Linen must be used in our cabins and glamping tents, and it should (preferably) be ordered in advance if you do not bring your own.

It is free to take a shower when you are an overnight guest at the camp. There are many showers in the large service building. In the small service building near the cabin village, you’ll find family shower rooms. These rooms are larger, so the whole family can shower at the same time.

No, for that service, there are other experts in town who already specialize in providing it. However, we highly recommend a mountain bike ride in the North or West Forest – it's so much fun. Read more under activities, we recommend renting your mountain bike at Cykelfavoritten.

At our neighbors, Museum Jorn, you can rent electric bikes. They are available for free with the purchase of an entrance ticket and can be rented/borrowed between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. They have six electric bikes and one cargo bike. Read more here.

We currently don’t have a charging station at the camp, but there are Tesla charging stations at both the Gl. Skovridergaard Hotel & Conference Center and Vejlsøhus Hotel and Conference Center, just around the corner. Find more charging stations here .

Electric car batteries cannot be charged at the camp’s pitches and cabins!

Dogs that are not a nuisance are welcome on the camp. They must always be kept on a leash and walked outside the camp area. Please clean up after your dog.

Dog enclosures should be minimized and must be temporary, meaning they are only set up during your stay at the camp.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer available. The machines accept all Danish coins.

At the camp, we have seven canoes available for rent at the café. The cost is 150 DKK per hour, and 500 DKK for a full day (three hours or more).

We also have a Kayakomat at the camp, where you can rent kayaks, tandem kayaks, and SUP boards. It is required that everyone on board has a life jacket, and they must always be worn during the activity on SUP boards.

Read more about our terms and conditions for renting canoes and boards.

There is a campfire area in The Social Area that can be used. Free firewood is available at the campfire area.

If signs are posted indicating a burn ban, no fires are allowed.

There is waste sorting at the large service building. Please follow the signage.

It is possible to empty the chemical toilet at the large service building.

We don't have it outside. However, there is good coverage, so you can easily use the data included in your mobile plan.

We offer free Wi-Fi in the café and in The Social House.

Maximum speed of 10 km/h. Please limit driving within the camp.

Driving is only permitted between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM to respect the other guests.
