Sales and delivery terms

Rental, cancellation rights, and refunds. The section on terms may be a bit detailed, but it’s still important when booking a stay at the camp or renting a canoe.

Payment

All prices in Ly Outdoor Camp's online booking system are listed in Danish kroner, including VAT and charges unless otherwise stated.

Payment is made using one of the accepted payment methods for online bookings. A fee may be charged according to the payment provider's applicable rules. The amount will be deducted from your account once the booking and payment have been processed.

For cabins and glamping, 50% of the total price is paid at the time of booking, and 50% is due 30 days before arrival.
For all pitches, 100% is paid in advance at the time of booking.

For larger groups and seasonal guests, individual payment terms can be arranged.

Payment for administrative bookings follows the above rules, but the customer has 5 business days to complete the payment upon receiving the invoice.

Terms regarding cancellation and refunds are outlined in later sections.

Information about online shopping

You can shop safely online through our booking system. As a consumer, you are generally protected against any misuse of your credit card online. Therefore, there is no excess liability in the case of misuse of your payment card online. For more information on safe online shopping, visit betaling.dk, fdih.dk, and forbrug.dk.

Booking and delivery

When you book and pay for a cabin, glamping tent, a pitch for your own tent, or a pitch for your own caravan, van, or motorhome, along with any accessories, you will receive a booking confirmation from Ly Outdoor Camp with the details of your purchase. The contract can be printed from the website after completing the booking and will also be sent to you via email to the provided email address.

The delivery of the ordered product occurs upon arrival at Ly Outdoor Camp on the arrival day and ends on the departure day. Both of these times are outlined in the booking confirmation.
Unused days will not be refunded once your holiday has started.

Your booking can be transferred to a third party before or during your stay (does not apply to seasonal guests). The transfer is done by contacting Ly Outdoor Camp, where the new guest’s details must be added to the existing booking confirmation. A handling fee of 200 DKK is charged for transferring the booking to a third party.

We strive to deliver what you, as a guest, desire, but we reserve the right to change any booking made for a specific pitch/cabin to a pitch/cabin of equal standard, without the booking being considered invalid.

Rental of cabins and glamping tents

The maximum number of people and animals allowed in the cabin/glamping tent is as stated on the website and in the booking system. This is in accordance with fire regulations. Final cleaning is a mandatory add-on. Cabins and glamping tents must be left tidy, and the facilities in working order. Dishes must be cleaned, dried, and put away. If dishes are not washed or put away, we reserve the right to charge a fee equivalent to the extra time required to clean them. Duvets and pillows must not be used without bed linen, which must either be brought by the guest or rented at the reception. The renter is responsible for any damages to the cabin/glamping tent, furniture, or equipment during the stay and will be charged for the cost of repairs. All cabins and tents are non-smoking.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

You have the option to cancel your booking under the following conditions:

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the arrival date will receive a refund of the paid amount minus a 25% administration fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the arrival date are non-refundable.

Our cancellation terms apply regardless of whether the cancellation is due to personal circumstances or force majeure (such as strikes, lockouts, epidemics/pandemics, or other circumstances that are considered force majeure under Danish law).

Cancellation insurance

We do not offer cancellation insurance, but we recommend purchasing it privately. Typically, you can obtain it through your own insurance company or through specialized travel insurance companies.

Right of withdrawal

Please note that a booking is not covered by the Danish Consumer Agreement Act’s rules on the right of withdrawal. The sale of accommodation (cabins, holiday homes, camping, etc.) is covered by a special exception under Section 18(2)(12) of the Consumer Agreement Act. Therefore, the booking is not subject to a 14-day right of withdrawal. The reason is that re-renting a reserved cabin/holiday home/pitch that is canceled just a few days before arrival is often not possible.

Registration of information

Ly Outdoor Camp registers your name, address, email, and other information provided in connection with the purchase in its customer database. The information will not be shared, but Ly Outdoor Camp will retain the registration for five years.

Ly Outdoor Camp uses server-side cookies and a secure connection to protect the information you provide on the website.

When paying by credit card, the registration occurs via a secure server, where the information is encrypted before being sent over the internet.

Ly Outdoor Camp reserves the right to correct pricing errors in the online booking system. In the case of an error, the prices listed on the website are the correct ones.

Complaints handling

If, for any reason, you do not receive confirmation of your purchase, and you have not received an error message from the system, please contact us as soon as possible.

Complaints about the booking process, the booking itself, or the product (the stay) must be made within a reasonable time after you have discovered or should have discovered the error by reviewing your contract. You can file a complaint in writing or orally. One year after receiving the product (the stay), the right to complain under the Danish Sale of Goods Act §83(1) expires unless otherwise agreed.

When Ly Outdoor Camp receives your complaint, it will be processed as quickly as possible.

Complaints to an external body

If you wish to have your complaint handled by an external body, you can contact the “Center for Dispute Resolution.” If you do not find a satisfactory resolution to your complaint in dialogue with the campsite or at the Center for Dispute Resolution, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Complaints Board. The Consumer Complaints Board will make a legal decision in the case.

Before submitting your complaint to the campsite – or during the complaint process – you are always welcome to send your complaint to DK-CAMP using this complaint form.
